Situated in the relaxed and scenic community of Tahoe Vista, the Franciscan Lakeside Lodge sits directly on the north shore of Lake Tahoe—offering one of the best locations for both winter and summer escapes. The neighborhood blends a peaceful, classic “Old Tahoe” feel with incredible convenience. You’re just minutes from Northstar’s lifts, close to Palisades Tahoe, and surrounded by snowshoeing, sledding, and winter trails.

Guests love being able to walk the shoreline, enjoy sunset views, and access nearby cafés, breweries, and restaurants. Kings Beach is only a mile away with more dining, shopping, and lakefront amenities. In summer, Tahoe Vista becomes a hub for paddleboarding, kayaking, boating, and lakeside lounging. With its private beach, pier, and expansive lakeside lawn, the Franciscan offers unbeatable lake access in a calm, welcoming neighborhood that feels authentically Tahoe.

The condo is centrally located and easy to access year-round. In winter, 4WD/AWD or snow tires are strongly recommended, as Tahoe weather can change quickly and chain controls are common during storms.

Getting Around in Winter

Storms can roll in quickly. Expect chain checkpoints, delays, and occasional road closures. Always check Caltrans updates before driving, keep warm gear and water in your car, and plan extra time when heading to ski resorts.
